MTB Atlanta and North Georgia Mountain Bike Association Announce Merger to Strengthen Mountain Biking Across Georgia
North Georgia Mountain Bike Association will become the unified organization serving riders, trails, and communities throughout North Georgia and Metro Atlanta.
Georgia’s mountain biking community is entering an exciting new chapter as MTB Atlanta and North Georgia Mountain Bike Association (NGMBA) announce their decision to merge into a single organization under the North Georgia Mountain Bike Association name.
This merger brings together two highly successful trail advocacy organizations with a shared commitment to trail stewardship, rider development, community engagement, and expanding access to world-class mountain biking opportunities throughout Georgia.
For decades, both organizations have worked alongside land managers, volunteers, local governments, and community partners to build, maintain, and advocate for trails that benefit riders and outdoor enthusiasts alike. By combining resources, expertise, leadership, and volunteer networks, the new North Georgia Mountain Bike Association will be positioned to make an even greater impact across the region.

The combined organization will oversee an extensive network of trails spanning North Georgia and Metro Atlanta, creating a more connected approach to trail advocacy, maintenance, education, and development.
